For over 60 years, the Charleston Ballet has been an integral part of West Virginia’s art and cultural scene. As the designated Official West Virginia State Ballet since 1972, we continue to present performances of professional quality that showcase the talents of West Virginia dancers and also educate our audiences. Special daytime school performances of “The Nutcracker” allow students the opportunity to experience live ballet in a professional theater. Art such as this promotes personal, academic and workforce development within children under the age of 18.
