DRACULA: THE SEDUCTION

The Charleston Ballet will present a world premiere of the classic “Dracula.” This new work, passionately choreographed by Artistic Director Kim Pauley with music by Anthony DiLorenzo, will be unlike any “Dracula” you have seen or heard. The performance will be complete with vampires, gypsies, bats, and brides of Dracula. Parts of this fall performance were previously scheduled to be performed last fall in BIT(E)S AND PIECES, a performance canceled due to Covid-19.

The NUTCRACKER with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra

This December, the holiday classic, the NUTCRACKER, will return to the Clay Center’s Maier Foundation Performance Hall. Whether this is your first time to see the heartwarming performance or your 100th time, you will always find something to love. Accompanied by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, over 170 dancers, musicians and actors perform in the only live music production of NUTCRACKER in the state. This collaboration with the WVSO provides patrons the opportunity to see two innovative arts groups come together. NUTCRACKER is an engaging holiday family event you will not want to miss!

BALLET UNWRAPPED (Mixed-Bill)

The season will wrap-up in a dramatic way with a program of various works including “The Flappers” and “Rhapsody in Blue.” We hope to see you at every show during our full and passionate return to the stage! Columbia Classical Ballet will once again join the Charleston Ballet for the 2021-22 season and its 11th year of collaboration.
